Abstract Art

Abstract Art- any art that does not depict a person, place or thing in the natural world, even in a distorted or exaggerated way.

Non-objective Art- another way to refer to abstract art. it also does not depict a person, place, or thing.

Non-representational Art- of or relating to a style of art in which objects do not resemble those known in physical nature

Abstract Expressionism- an artistic movement of the mid-20th century comprising diverse styles and techniques and emphasizing especially an artist's liberty to convey attitudes and emotions through nontraditional and usually nonrepresentational means.
