I like these pictures because they look unique. The first picture of the man makes him look more in pain or angry and upset than it would if it were just a regular picture. I know that the camera in the picture is an older camera. This style of art makes it look even more vintage. I like the last picture because the man at the cash register stands out because of this art. It makes you look at his face and guess how he is feeling.

I like David Meanix's style because it is different and not like anything else. It makes you more interested in the picture. It gives the picture more personality.

Unique Species

While walking through Alaska, scientists discovered this mix of a cheetah, a cat, and an elephant. They think that after a cheetah was born with cat features like its ears because of a birth defect, it mated with the only other animal in Alaska at the time- an elephant. They are going extinct because there aren't many of them in the world to begin with.

For the first picture, I think the artist placed the lion face on the chick and then adjusted the color balance to make it yellow. For the second picture, I think the artist placed the pig face on the frog body and adjusted the colors to make it green and used blur to make it match more. For the last picture, the cat face if probably placed onto the bunny body and then blurred and matched to not look choppy.

I learned about how schooling is different in Haiti. You have to pay to go to school and school is 4 years longer than it is here in the United States. Also, as many people can run for president as they want in Haiti. You can express your feelings through graffiti on the buildings and walls there, unlike in the US.

Untooning

I selected my hair with the lasso tool and then changed the color balance to make my hair blonde. I did the same thing with my shirt to make it pink. I selected each eye and transformed it to make them bigger. I found a picture of a cameleon and placed it on my shoulder, then i made all of the background white.

We chose chapstick as our topic because having chapped lips is one of the worst things I can think of. Chapstick moisturizes your lips and prevents them from being chapped and possibly bleeding. Plus everyone uses chapstick and can relate to our topic!
